Danny Lenihan is a British author of science fiction and psychological thriller novels. Founder of the globally recognised photography brand 3 Legged Thing, former stand-up comedian, press photographer, and musician. His debut novel Rogue was published in 2021, followed by Enemy in 2024. His third novel, Ashes Through The Hourglass, is published by Big Thinking in June 2026.
Danny Lenihan is a British author, former international press photographer, and stand-up comedian. After a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1993, he rebuilt his life on grit, wit, and storytelling — touring globally for over a decade, appearing on BBC radio, television, and in multiple films.
He is the founder of the globally recognised photography equipment brand 3 Legged Thing, which won the prestigious Lucie Technical Award for design in 2017. He lives in Northamptonshire with his partner, four children, two dogs, one cat, and two vacuum cleaners.
Danny Lenihan is a British author, former international press photographer, and stand-up comedian. After a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1993, he rebuilt his life on grit, wit, and storytelling — touring globally for over a decade, appearing on BBC radio and television, in multiple films, and contributing to publications from national newspapers to Rufus Hound's comedy anthology Stand Up Put Downs.
Danny's stand-up career began in 1996 and spanned nearly 15 years, during which he performed regularly at The Comedy Store and Jongleurs venues across the UK, appeared on TV shows either side of the Atlantic, and was a frequent panellist on BBC Television and Radio. In 2004 he composed the musical score for British director Pat Higgins' debut horror film TrashHouse.
In 2010 Danny founded the photography equipment brand 3 Legged Thing, which has since grown into a globally recognised household name. In 2017 he was awarded the prestigious Lucie Technical Award for design, collecting his trophy at the Javitz Centre in New York City.
